Queer

Queer is a foreign word from the English language. It refers to things, individuals, or actions that deviate from the general societal heteronormativity due to sexual or gender identity. Previously, the word was often used with a negative connotation, as it was derogatory toward those who were gender non-conforming. However, today the word represents a movement of diversity, which is part of the LGBTQ+ movement. People now self-identify as part of the queer community if they deviate from the norm in any form. This includes gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersex, transgender, pansexual, asexual individuals, and those in the BDSM community. Additionally, heterosexual individuals who practice polyamory are also part of this group.
