Since 2004, the international bondage and fetish fair BoundCon has been held annually in Munich. For three days, visitors, artists, and exhibitors from around the world come together to enjoy, experience, and celebrate a colorful and vibrant world of kink, eroticism, and pleasure.

For the twentieth anniversary at the end of May, we at Deviance finally had a small booth at this family gathering and also explored the workshops and evening events.

Gloss vs. Latex

The venue was the Zenith cultural hall, located right next to Motorworld Munich. Just this alone guaranteed an exciting convergence of bondage, fetish, and car enthusiasts who, under sunny skies and warm temperatures, eyed each other curiously. Some ventured into conversation relatively quickly, and it was delightful to observe how differences turned into commonalities. Thus, outdoors, photos of highly polished materials quickly emerged: latex and leather against glossy paint and shining aluminum. Such shots would not be possible inside the convention hall itself, where a strict no-photo policy at BoundCon ensures the privacy of attendees.

Inside the hall, it got darker, as if stepping into a completely different world yet feeling immediately at home. Contacts were already being made in the queue at the entrance. The attendees of the convention primarily came from southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. However, many international guests also mingled within the community.

Mountain sports equipment suppliers were also present at the event.

In the exhibition hall and across seven stages, there were numerous exhibitors from the DACH region, workshops, bondage performances, high-quality designer clothing, and even escape challenges. We were also surprised by the variety of kinks on display; one booth took the effort to depict Barbie and Ken dolls in various play scenarios. Adjacent to our booth, there was even a provider of professional climbing equipment. Their ropes and hooks are popular in the bondage scene and among riggers due to their durability, especially for lifting bodies.

Seilfan _ssapiehaa_ helped out at the booth.

And how was it for us? We had the opportunity to operate a booth together with our partner brand Naturally Naughty. Alongside massages using ginger oils or ginger spray, wax play, and stylish Deviance merchandise available at our stand, we connected directly with many visitors. While Deviance primarily communicates digitally, it was especially gratifying to speak in person. We received valuable feedback on our relaunch and features, and we look forward to engaging more with you all in the future.

The climax was the Subrosadictum party

But what would a kinky weekend be without a climax? The highlight and a perfect complement to the fair was the Subrosadictum event – abbreviated as SRD – on Saturday evening across from Motorworld. Spanning several expansive halls with an industrial ambiance and a strict dress code, kinksters showcased themselves at their best. Attendees could professionally photograph their outfits before diving into the evening to various music. It’s a definite recommendation and our tip: visit the fair on Saturday and then head straight to the party next door in the evening. But what would a kinky weekend be without a climax? One thing is clear: After such an exhilarating weekend, we will continue to report on events like BoundCon in the coming weeks and months, and we’ll also be there in person. Feel free to drop by anytime! We look forward to it!
